Victorian Lacing

This method of lacing draws the waist in, in a more dramatic way, whilst leaving the hip and bust areas less affected, creating a more hourglass effect. This method can be much easier to use than the normal, if getting dressed and undressed on your own.

To do this, begin with the corset completely unlaced. Begin at the bottom as normal crisscrossing up to the pair of eyelets at waist level.
Instead of crossing over, thread to the eyelet directly above, through the front to the back creating a loop on each side.
Continue crisscross lacing up to the top and tie off. When the loops of ribbon at the waist are pulled simultaneously the corset will be drawn in dramatically around the waist.
Tie these long loops in a bow, excess ribbon can be tied around the waist to fix the size.
